Apple Siri AI Settlement: Eligible iPhone Owners Could Claim Up to $95

Apple in May Apple agreed to pay $250 million to resolve a class action lawsuit alleging that it overhyped Apple Intelligence features, including a long-delayed overhaul of Siri AI.

Who May Qualify for the Apple settlement?

The improved Siri AI voice assistant is now available to new iPhone owners through iOS 27. However, some customers may also be eligible to claim money for past purchases.

The settlement covers customers in the United States who purchased certain iPhone 15 or iPhone 16 models directly from Apple between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. Eligible claimants could receive up to $95 per phone.

Why is Apple paying $250 million?

The lawsuit centers on Apple’s promotion of Siri functionality as a reason to purchase an iPhone. The claim form includes a statement that says, “We expected to receive the Siri Apple Intelligence feature, but we did not.” Apple denies any wrongdoing as part of the settlement.

“We resolved this matter in order to remain focused on what we do best: provide the most innovative products and services to our users,” Apple’s May statement about the settlement read in part.

How to file an Apple Siri settlement claim

To file a claim, visit the dedicated settlement website: Smartphone payment.com.

Click the blue Submit a Claim button in the top-right corner of the page. You will first be asked whether you have a claim ID and PIN. You do not need to already have this information to continue. On the final page, you will need your iPhone serial number or Apple Account ID to submit a claim.

Where to find your iPhone serial number

If you do not know where to find your serial number, open the Settings app, tap General, and then select About. The serial number appears near the top of the screen as a string of letters and numbers.

Payment options and claim deadline

Claimants can choose to receive payment through PayPal, Venmo, an electronic bank transfer, or a paper check. If you have multiple eligible devices and want to file a claim for each one, you must complete the form separately for every device.

iPhone owners have until December 21 to submit a claim.
