One of the most famous SUVs in the world is undergoing a significant metamorphosis.
Once a representative of the ultimate off-roader under the term of immense power and luxury, it has received numerous versions over the years, and all the newer ones have gone in the direction of downsizing and optimization, which indicated that Toyota will fully electrify it in at least one version.
Its name is Land Cruiser Se and it will be the first all-electric SUV from Toyota and the Japanese automotive industry. So far, it’s a concept that Toyota hasn’t talked about much.
The focus of this vehicle is on spaciousness and comfort, as well as on asphalt. Thus, Toyota highlights the silence of the work and silence as a result of the implementation of the electric drive.
After all, the road-tire look and lower floor height suggest that Toyota doesn’t see this vehicle beyond dirt roads and overtaking curbs. At the same time, this LC is not small, it is 513 cm long and almost two meters wide.
Perhaps the biggest innovation in the cabin is the implementation of the so-called steering yoke that Toyota has already introduced on Lexus. A modern and very complicated solution that will probably come to life on production cars.
Technical data is unknown, but judging by what Mercedes has in the G-Class or newcomers like the Rivian, Toyota will have a lot to offer. And we don’t just mean range and power.
