A Chinese car company has unveiled its first smartphone, which carries 30 options designed exclusively for managing some options in their vehicles. After some mobile companies have decided to enter the electric car market, such as Xiaomi and Huawei, a reverse trend has also been observed lately. So electric car manufacturers are now entering the smartphone market.
The Chinese company Nio presented its first smartphone, which is specific for some options that are intended for the owners of their electric cars. Thus, the Nio Phone can be used as a car key, but through the phone the owner can command the car to park itself, that is, to come from a parking lot to where the owner is. This option is only available in the Chinese market and can be used in limited spaces and at low speeds.
The new phone has as many as 30 functions that are specific only to their cars. The Chinese company hopes that their devices will start a new trend in the industry, and that many of their competitors will learn from their innovations in the smartphone market.
This phone runs on Android 13, has a 6.8-inch curved OLED screen and is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset. There are three cameras on the back – a 50MP main sensor with optical stabilization, a 50MP ultrawide sensor and a 50MP telephoto sensor. The battery capacity is 5200 mAh, and it also supports 66W fast charging.
The phones will be available only in the Chinese market, and will go on sale from the end of this month.
