No 10: Full Confidence is not the only political strategy game inspired by Westminster politics and parliamentary deal-making.
Fantasy Parliament, external is a browser-based political game created by UK developer Evan Roberts. It allows players to build a fantasy team of real-world MPs and score points based on their coverage in the media.
The strategy game also features a Policy Tester, where players can submit ideas to a ChatGPT-style AI model. The tool predicts how different voter groups, including Coastal Keith and Graduate Gemma, might respond to each policy.
Another upcoming title, UK Politics Simulator, is “built on real UK data down to the borough level”. Developed by Scarborough-based Black Cannon Games, the political simulation game is reportedly scheduled for release on PC later this year.
Despite the success of No 10: Full Confidence, which currently ranks fifth in Apple’s UK paid games chart ahead of Monopoly Go, creator Mr Brewes said he was unsure whether any politicians had played the game.
He has, however, received feedback from friends working in the civil service, who praised the game for its accurate depiction of British politics and life in Westminster.
“Just like this,” they told him, “but worse.”
