NVIDIA GeForce NOW Gamescom 2026: DLSS 4.5, New Devices and Major Cloud Gaming Releases
NVIDIA’s Gamescom 2026 announcement outlines the future of GeForce NOW. The cloud gaming service is adding new ways to play, expanding support for more devices and platforms, and bringing major PC games to the cloud at launch.
The latest updates include NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 controls for supported games, new Steam hardware compatibility, GOG single sign-on, Firefox browser support, and expanded support for Amazon Fire TV devices. Together, these features give members more flexibility when streaming PC games with GeForce RTX technology.
GeForce NOW is also preparing to add several highly anticipated titles, including CONTROL Resonant, Gears of War: E-Day, Onimusha: The Way of the Sword, The Blood of Dawnwalker, and Star Wars Zero Company. These games are expected to stream through the cloud when they launch.
For a limited time, members can also receive CONTROL Resonant at no additional cost when they purchase a 12-month GeForce NOW Ultimate membership.
NVIDIA is also celebrating Gamescom with a GeForce NOW community giveaway featuring more than 40 prizes, including gaming hardware and GeForce NOW Ultimate memberships.

GeForce NOW adds new DLSS 4.5 cloud controls
This fall, GeForce NOW will introduce new NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 controls in the cloud. The feature will give Ultimate members more control over image quality and performance in supported games, even when they do not own the latest gaming hardware.
Powered by NVIDIA RTX technology, the available controls are designed to address different aspects of cloud gaming. DLSS Super Resolution can improve image clarity, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation can help deliver smoother gameplay, and Ray Reconstruction can enhance the appearance of ray-traced scenes.
Players will be able to adjust settings based on their priorities, whether they want sharper visuals, faster responsiveness, or a balance between image quality and performance. NVIDIA says more information about enabling DLSS 4.5 overrides and using Dynamic Frame Generation will be shared through GFN Thursdays.
More ways to play with Steam, GOG and Firefox support
GeForce NOW will add community-requested support for Steam Machines and Steam Controllers later this fall. Support for Windows and macOS is planned to follow, giving longtime Steam users more familiar ways to access cloud gaming.
These additions build on existing Steam Deck support and expand compatibility across the wider Steam ecosystem. Players can stream supported PC games without downloading and installing them locally, provided they have a compatible device, controller and internet connection.
Launching GOG games on GeForce NOW is also becoming easier with GOG single sign-on. Members can securely link their GOG and GeForce NOW accounts once, then automatically access and launch supported games without signing in again.
The streamlined process reduces the steps required to open the app and start playing. It also makes it easier to access a GOG game library on supported TV platforms, while downloads, installations and updates are handled in the cloud.
Popular games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt can be found through the dedicated GOG section in the GeForce NOW app. Members can also search and filter the library to find other supported GOG titles.
GeForce NOW is now officially supported on Firefox, expanding browser-based cloud gaming access for Windows users. Members can play supported PC games directly through Firefox without downloading a dedicated GeForce NOW app.
Ultimate members can stream GeForce RTX-powered games at up to 1440p resolution and 120 frames per second on supported setups. To get started, download the latest version of Firefox and visit play.geforcenow.com. GeForce NOW handles game downloads, installations and updates in the cloud, helping conserve local storage.
GeForce NOW is expanding its support for Amazon Fire TV devices. After launching on Fire TV earlier this year, the service will also come to the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, allowing users to stream supported PC games with a compatible controller.
The expanded Fire TV support gives players another way to enjoy PC gaming on a television without purchasing a traditional gaming PC or console. Later this year, Fire TV users will also be able to purchase GeForce NOW memberships directly through Amazon.
Five major games are coming to GeForce NOW at launch
NVIDIA has announced that five highly anticipated PC games will come to GeForce NOW at launch: CONTROL Resonant, Gears of War: E-Day, Onimusha: The Way of the Sword, The Blood of Dawnwalker and Star Wars Zero Company.
For a limited time, customers who purchase a 12-month GeForce NOW Ultimate membership can receive CONTROL Resonant at no extra cost when it releases. The offer is available from Tuesday, August 25, through Sunday, September 27.
Ultimate members will be able to stream the lineup with RTX 5080-class performance in the cloud, along with NVIDIA DLSS 4, ray tracing and NVIDIA Reflex. Supported devices can deliver high-dynamic-range streaming at resolutions of up to 5K.
Cloud gaming allows members to avoid expensive hardware upgrades, lengthy installations and ongoing storage management. Players can access supported titles as soon as they become available on GeForce NOW.
In Remedy’s CONTROL Resonant, explore a twisted Manhattan threatened by supernatural destruction. Use Dylan Faden’s extraordinary powers to battle the Hiss, Mold and other reality-warping enemies while searching for Jesse Faden, the director of the Federal Bureau of Control.
Set 14 years before the original Gears of War, Gears of War: E-Day follows Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago during the first Locust invasion. The origin-story campaign combines intense combat with a desperate fight for survival. Players can also return to updated Horde and multiplayer modes, including cooperative and competitive battles.
Capcom’s Onimusha: The Way of the Sword takes players to a dark, reimagined version of Edo-period Kyoto. Wield the mystical Oni Gauntlet, master precise sword combat and battle the demonic Genma in a world filled with supernatural danger.
Set in 14th-century Europe, The Blood of Dawnwalker presents a world transformed by war, plague and the rise of vampires. Players take on the role of Coen, a young Dawnwalker caught between his humanity and supernatural abilities, as he fights to save his family and shape his own future.
In Star Wars Zero Company, lead a group of elite soldiers during the final days of the Clone Wars. This single-player, turn-based strategy game puts players in command of former Republic officer Hawks and Zero Company. Squad composition, tactical decisions and player choices will influence the outcome of each mission and the fate of the galaxy.
GeForce NOW Gamescom giveaway offers more than 40 prizes
To celebrate its Gamescom announcements, NVIDIA is hosting a GeForce NOW community giveaway with more than 40 prizes. The rewards include a MacBook Neo, Steam Deck and Chromebook, each paired with a one-year GeForce NOW Ultimate membership.
Other prizes include an Amazon Fire TV Stick and GeForce NOW Ultimate memberships ranging from one month to one year. Visit the GeForce NOW community on Reddit for eligibility details and entry instructions.
New games joining GeForce NOW this week
Players can assemble a squad and battle alien hordes in Alien: Fireteam Elite 2, which is scheduled to stream on GeForce NOW when it launches this week. The four-player cooperative shooter features Colonial Marines, new Xenomorph threats, expanded classes and deeper squad mechanics.
