NASA has selected four companies to provide commercial payload processing facilities and services under the initiation provisions of the Spacecraft Processing Operations Agreement. The provision enables qualified providers to support NASA missions launching from locations where payload processing capabilities were not available when the original contract was awarded.
The selected companies are:
- All Point Logistics LLC
- Blue Origin LLC
- Firefly Aerospace
- L3Harris Technologies Co., Ltd.
Under the agreement, NASA will purchase the facilities and services needed for pre-launch spacecraft processing. This work includes preparing spacecraft and associated launch vehicle hardware for transportation and delivery to the launch pad.
The Spacecraft Processing Services Agreement is a multi-contract, commercial, fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract vehicle. It has an aggregate maximum value of $100 million, with an order period extending through February 1, 2033.
NASA’s Launch Services Program at Kennedy Space Center in Florida will manage the agreement. The program partners with commercial companies, mission teams, and international organizations to launch a wide range of scientific payloads, including university-built small satellites and high-priority NASA missions.
The new contracts will expand NASA’s access to commercial payload processing capabilities and support the agency’s future launch services and spacecraft missions.
