Suffolk Wildlife Trust has launched a groundbreaking survey to understand how people connect with nature and help shape future wildlife conservation efforts across the county.
The Greater Suffolk Nature Survey, led by Suffolk Wildlife Trust (SWT) in partnership with Suffolk University, is asking residents about their experiences of local wildlife and concerns about the pressures facing nature.
The survey explores how people interact with Suffolk’s natural environment, as well as their views on wildlife protection, climate change, conservation projects and other environmental initiatives.
The research comes just weeks after devastating wildfires at Dunwich Heath and nearby RSPB Minsmere destroyed vital wildlife habitat. Some affected areas could take years to recover, highlighting the urgent need for effective nature conservation in Suffolk.
