Britain is poised for a potential “wild summer of butterflies,” according to experts.
Professor Richard Fox, head of science at the British charity Butterfly Conservation in Newton Abbot, Devon, remarked: “This spring has been exceptionally warm and dry, and with the prospect of continued hot weather, we’re set for a vibrant and colorful display of butterflies in our gardens and countryside this summer.”
Mr. Fox anticipates that thousands will participate in the Big Butterfly Count. Garden enthusiasts can record the number of butterflies spotted within a 15-minute timeframe.
“During this time of year, it’s common to see only a few butterflies in individual gardens. However, visiting larger areas brimming with flowers can reveal dozens or even hundreds,” he added.
