NASA technicians joined the Orion spacecraft’s crew module and service module on July 30, 2026, inside the Neil Armstrong Operations and Checkout Building at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The Orion crew module will transport and support NASA astronauts Randy Bresnik, Andre Douglas, and Frank Rubio, along with ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Luca Parmitano. The service module will provide Orion with power and propulsion during its mission to test rendezvous and docking capabilities with test versions, known as test articles, of commercial human landing systems developed by Blue Origin and SpaceX.
