It’s finally here. After years of anticipation, the all-electric Range Rover has officially arrived. First announced in December 2023, JLR’s luxury electric SUV was originally expected to go on sale in 2024. However, extended development and testing delayed the launch. Now, the first fully electric Range Rover is ready to challenge the leading premium electric SUVs.
The Range Rover Electric delivers impressive performance and long-distance capability. Its dual 260-kilowatt electric motors produce up to 542 horsepower and 850 Newton meters of torque—power comparable to a V8 and around 20 percent more than other motors of the same size. A dual-layer 118.5-kWh battery pack features 800-volt split-charging technology, enabling a 10-to-80-percent charge in as little as 22 minutes. Land Rover also says the SUV can add up to 137 miles of range in just 10 minutes. The estimated maximum range is 372 miles under the WLTP testing standard, while real-world driving range is claimed to reach up to 333 miles.

The Range Rover Electric is also expected to deliver strong acceleration, reaching 60 mph from a standstill in 4.3 seconds. That is a remarkable figure for a large luxury SUV, although official performance figures have not yet been confirmed.
This combination of electric performance, premium design, and Range Rover capability comes at a substantial price. In the UK, the entry-level Autobiography model is currently available to order from £154,070—approximately $208,000. Pricing rises to £225,240, or more than $304,000, for the SV Black long-wheelbase version. Range-topping “Ultra” models are listed as “price on request,” suggesting the final cost could be even higher. In the US, buyers can order the Range Rover Electric in SE specification from $138,000, plus a $2,550 destination and delivery fee.
