Climate Technology Companies to Watch in 2026

Recognizing how much progress is possible is why MIT Technology Review began publishing an annual list of climate technology companies to watch three years ago.

Each year, our editors and writers draw on deep industry knowledge and academic sources to identify companies around the world that are transforming how we generate energy, produce goods, move people and products, and mitigate the growing dangers of climate change.

After several rounds of lively newsroom discussion, we narrow the list to 10 companies that have made significant contributions or have the greatest potential to substantially reduce emissions and improve public safety and health.
