The Angling Trust, the Marine Biological Association (MBA), and the Pat Smith Database are key partners in this groundbreaking shark conservation project.
Dr. Bryce Stewart, a Senior Research Fellow at MBA, emphasized: “UK waters host a variety of vital and vulnerable shark species, yet substantial gaps in knowledge about their distribution and population density persist.”
He added that the data collected will “assist in determining the necessary actions to safeguard their future.”
