NASA+ is expanding its availability across major streaming platforms. NASA announced Monday that its space programming is now heading to discovery+ and HBO Max, giving more viewers access to live NASA coverage, space exploration content, and major agency events from home.
A continuous live stream of NASA+ programming is available through discovery+ live channels. HBO Max will also stream NASA’s special events, including coverage of NASA’s Artemis III mission, currently planned for 2027.
Viewers watching NASA+ on supported discovery+ and HBO Max devices can experience select content in Dolby Vision. The enhanced format delivers more vivid colors, sharper contrast, brighter images, and greater detail, creating a more immersive way to watch space missions and NASA coverage.
Future NASA+ programming may feature science mission launches, a test flight for rendezvous and docking with human landing systems, robotic lunar deliveries, the first crewed Artemis mission to the Moon, and other milestones in space exploration. NASA+ remains free and ad-free through the NASA app and the agency’s website.
“The National Aeronautics and Space Act of 1958 calls on us to share our story of space exploration with the broadest possible audience and we continue to honor that commitment,” said Rebecca Sirmons, general manager of NASA+ at NASA Headquarters in Washington. “Artemis II captured the hearts and minds of viewers globally, inspiring the Artemis generation. As we return to the Moon to stay, our goal is to provide transparent, engaging content coverage every step of the way.”
Earlier this year, during its Ignition event, NASA outlined a bold path forward for the agency. Plans include increasing the frequency of Artemis missions to the lunar surface and building the first Moon base, among other priorities. These new streaming agreements support NASA’s commitment to public engagement by making space missions, educational programming, and agency content available across more devices and viewers’ preferred platforms.
