NVIDIA AI Day Singapore: How Southeast Asia Is Scaling Localized AI
NVIDIA AI Day Singapore will be held at the Raffles City Convention Center on September 22 and 23. The event will offer hands-on training, expert-led sessions and opportunities to explore advanced tools for accelerating artificial intelligence and high-performance computing.
NVIDIA and its partners will showcase AI developments across Southeast Asia, including localized foundation models, public-sector applications, smart-city solutions and large-scale AI infrastructure.
NVIDIA helps Southeast Asia move public-sector AI from pilot to production
AI is becoming a national strategic priority as governments seek to move beyond pilot projects and deploy trusted AI at scale. These systems need to reflect local languages, cultures, priorities and economic requirements.
NVIDIA is working to help countries become AI nations by providing the technology, infrastructure, ecosystem and expertise required to develop national AI capabilities. Across Southeast Asia, NVIDIA and its partners are supporting the shift from experimentation to production through open models, developer tools and a broad partner ecosystem.
The work focuses on four key areas:
- Strengthening government operations and service delivery.
- Developing accessible AI-powered citizen services and supporting local businesses.
- Improving critical infrastructure and public safety.
- Supporting startups, developers and researchers as they build national AI capabilities.
AI for public safety and government services in Singapore
Singapore’s HTX, the Home Team Science and Technology Agency, is exploring NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super and Nemotron 3 Nano Omni models for public-safety applications. Nemotron Super could support complex reasoning and agent workflows for government agencies, while Omni’s vision, audio and language capabilities could help HTX develop multimodal applications using real-world operational data.
Combining these models could support HTX’s efforts to deploy secure, locally controlled AI across Singapore’s Home Team.
NCS is also advancing agentic AI adoption across the enterprise and public sector. The company is using Nemotron models and the NVIDIA Blueprint for Video Search and Summarization. Its work with evolving physics AI addresses security, responsiveness and data-governance requirements for practical humanoid-robotics applications.
ST Engineering is using NVIDIA NeMo tools and NVIDIA cuOpt software to develop its AI Studio platform and deploy agentic AI solutions across its business, including marine maintenance, repair and overhaul.
Localized AI projects across Southeast Asia
Similar initiatives are underway across the region. YTL AI Labs in Malaysia is fine-tuning Nemotron for enterprise and citizen services.
Viettel AI is applying the model to Vietnamese applications, including legal AI.
In Thailand, the Big Data Research Institute and iApp Technology are considering Nemotron as a foundation model through the ThaiLLM collaboration. iApp Technology is adapting Nemotron 3 Nano with the NVIDIA NeMo framework, initially focusing on legal applications and Thai legal data.
The model powers Thanoy, iApp Technology’s legal-assistant chatbot. The chatbot was released as open source to the Thai developer community and already serves around 43,000 users.
In Brunei, antric has built an AI innovation platform designed to improve productivity across the country’s food sector.
Across Southeast Asia, NVIDIA Cosmos open-world models and NVIDIA Video Search and Summarization blueprints are supporting smart-city development. Malaysia’s ITMAX uses Cosmos and VSS to improve urban transportation operations, while AS-Tech applies a similar technology stack to improve passenger flow at airports.

Southeast Asian technology leaders build localized AI with NVIDIA Nemotron

Companies, technology providers and research institutes across Southeast Asia are developing AI models and applications tailored to regional languages, industries and communities.
NVIDIA Nemotron provides open models, datasets and libraries that help organizations customize, control and own AI models for their specific requirements. Its persona dataset provides synthetic, regionally relevant data reflecting the region’s population, languages and workforce.
Partners across Southeast Asia are using Nemotron to build applications for public services, hospitality and healthcare.
NVIDIA Nemotron adoption grows in Singapore
Organizations in Singapore are adopting Nemotron for a range of use cases. AI Singapore is extending the SEA-LION model family with NVIDIA Nemotron open models and NVIDIA NeMo tools. SEA-LION is an open model family designed for Southeast Asian languages and cultures.
Hummingbird Bioscience, in collaboration with LynxKite, is building an explainable toxicity knowledge graph using Nemotron 3.5 Lightning and NeMo Retriever for in-silico simulations. The project aims to integrate complex public and proprietary data from multiple third-party file formats into a unified foundation for analysis and inference, helping reduce risk and accelerate drug discovery and development.
Nemotron supports region-specific AI across Asia Pacific
Bitdeer AI co-hosted the Open Models AI Codefest with NVIDIA. The event provided GPU cloud infrastructure for developers across the region to use Nemotron open models, datasets and training recipes for localized applications in critical sectors, including healthcare.
In Vietnam, Viettel AI has extensively adapted Nemotron 3 Super for Vietnamese-language and agent applications. The model achieved the highest ranking in the VMLU benchmark and in Viettel AI’s internal product benchmark. It will be adopted by Legal AI, an agent platform serving Viettel Group employees and external customers.
Also in Vietnam, FPT Smart Cloud co-developed Nemotron-personas-Vietnam, an open dataset based on Vietnamese demographic and cultural data. The dataset enables local developers to post-train and evaluate localized AI models.
Develop with NVIDIA Nemotron using the customization skill and Nemotron playbook to adapt the open model for specific languages and domains.
Sea Limited to deploy NVIDIA Vera Rubin to scale AI across Southeast Asia

Sea Limited, a global technology company founded in Singapore, is the first company in the ASEAN region to adopt the NVIDIA Vera Rubin Platform.
Vera Rubin will enhance Sea’s AI capabilities as the company works to create economic opportunities for millions of consumers and small businesses across Southeast Asia.
Sea serves hundreds of millions of users through its Garena, Monee and Shopee platforms. The company is already using AI across its business to make services more convenient and accessible. Through its collaboration with NVIDIA Vera Rubin, Sea plans to build and deploy AI models and intelligent agents at greater scale.
AI applications across Shopee, Monee and Garena
