Claude Code Cloud Sessions Now Available With Up to $250 in Free Credits
Anthropic is making Claude Code cloud sessions available without requiring users to sign up for a research preview. Eligible subscribers can also claim up to $250 in promotional credits to try the feature.
Cloud sessions run Claude Code on Anthropic’s infrastructure rather than on your computer. This allows you to start a coding task, leave it running remotely, and return later to review the results.
“Cloud sessions run on Anthropic-hosted infrastructure, so your work continues even when your computer is not working,” Anthropic explained.
Our testing confirmed that you can start a cloud session from Claude.ai/code, the Claude mobile app, the desktop app, or the CLI code section using claude --cloud.
Claude Code cloud sessions were previously available to some users through a research preview. The feature is now officially available to eligible Pro and Max subscribers, with Anthropic offering free usage credits to encourage existing subscribers to try it.
How to claim Claude Code’s free cloud credits
Anthropic is offering $100 in promotional cloud session credits to eligible Pro users and $250 to Max subscribers.
The promotional credits are separate from regular cloud usage limits and are automatically applied at the beginning of a cloud session.
“If you hit your limit locally, keep spending in the cloud until you run out of credits,” Anthropic said.
Eligible subscribers can claim the Claude Code cloud session offer from Claude’s website. The offer expires on October 7, while any remaining promotional balance will expire on November 4.

Who is eligible for the Claude Code promotion?
The promotion is limited to individual Pro and Max subscribers who had an active subscription on September 23, when the promotion began.
After the promotional balance is exhausted, cloud sessions will revert to the subscriber’s regular plan limits. Anthropic also says there are no additional charges for the cloud containers themselves.
