Discover rare and endangered birds from around the globe at a historically themed park in County Durham, where curators aim to protect their wild counterparts.
When customs officials at Heathrow Airport encountered issues, they turned to avian expert Jimmy Robinson for assistance.
After confiscating a pink-breasted parrot that was illegally transported from Australia, they sought a suitable sanctuary for the bird.
Fortunately, Jimmy was aware of a new shelter on the outskirts of Bishop Auckland that could accommodate not only the parrot but also a lively community of galahs, owls, and parrots.
With a dedicated team, Jimmy spent three years crafting The Lost Feather, one of five captivating shows debuting at the Kynren site in July.
Other performances celebrate themes like Vikings, Victorians, and fascinating insects, while the main evening spectacle, The Epic of England, launched in 2016, encompasses a broad historical narrative. However, Jimmy’s unique contribution shines a spotlight on the magnificent world of birds.
