Vision Quest Final Trailer Reveals What Happens After WandaVision
With the premiere just two weeks away, Marvel Studios has released the final trailer for Vision Quest, the limited series that completes the trilogy begun with WandaVision and continued in Agatha All Along.
Spoilers below for WandaVision and Agatha All Along.
Vision Quest continues the story of White Vision
Marvel’s streaming TV portfolio has delivered some hits, some flops, and plenty of middling fare. Among its standout series was WandaVision, followed by the successful spinoff Agatha All Along. Vision Quest will complete the trilogy and reveal what happened to Vision after the events of those shows.
Vision, played by Paul Bettany, died in Avengers: Infinity War. However, the finale of WandaVision introduced an all-white version of the character with his memories restored. The new series will finally explore what happens next.
According to Marvel’s official premise:
Vision was reactivated and went into hiding, fleeing from those who wanted to weaponize him. In search of new meaning, he references the AI personas built into his program, including FRIDAY, EDITH, JARVIS, and the infamous Ultron. His low profile comes to an end when a bounty on his head forces him to reincarnate and go on the run with Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be Vision’s son. Vision escapes capture, but to survive he must confront his true nature, resist Ultron’s influence, and unravel the mysteries of his young companion.
Paul Bettany returns as Vision, with James Spader as Ultron
Paul Bettany will return as Vision, while James Spader will reprise the role of Ultron. The trailer also builds on developments from Agatha All Along, which introduced a new version of Billy Maximoff.
After Wanda’s spell broke at the end of WandaVision, Billy’s soul took over the dying body of another teenager. Agatha helps Billy locate the soul of his twin, Tommy, also known as Speed, and place him in the body of Thomas Shepard, a drowned teenage boy. Both characters are played by Ruaridh Mollica.
That connection could make Thomas Shepard central to Vision’s search for answers as the trilogy reaches its conclusion.
