Sadie Sink is set to join the cast in a yet-to-be-revealed role, but speculation suggests she might portray the main villain. Zabrina Guevara will return as Sheila Rivera from Daredevil: Born Again. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena, along with comic characters Boomerang, Tarantula, and Ramrod, are expected to make appearances. It appears that straightforward superhero narratives are becoming a rarity.
The final trailer emphasizes Peter/Spidey’s journey, featuring poignant moments from the previous trilogy, including a heartfelt farewell between Peter and MJ, where they promise to reunite. However, when Peter finally tracks down MJ at a diner, he hesitates and simply orders coffee instead of reconnecting.
The latter half of the trailer showcases the intense action fans can anticipate. Spider-Man: Brand New Day presents scenes with a growing banner declaring, “There’s no banner, just the Hulk,” alongside Spidey’s confrontations with the Hand, humorously asking, “Can we take it one at a time?” We also catch a glimpse of a mysterious caped figure. While Mando’s Scorpion appears, it’s unclear if it’s the genuine article, as the new threat Peter faces can mimic anyone. Fortunately, fans will witness Spidey swinging through the city, with MJ safely in his arms after she comes to believe his warnings about imminent danger.
