NASA has announced MAX POWER, a major aerospace innovation exhibition and air show taking place at and near NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Nov. 7 and 8. The public event will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary and showcase the future of aviation, space exploration, and transportation technology.
The family-friendly, multi-day event will bring together the public, innovators, investors, pilots, astronauts, engineers, and aerospace companies. Attendees will experience the next generation of aircraft, spacecraft, autonomous vehicles, and technologies shaping the future of air and space travel.
“This November, we will open the historic Shuttle Landing Facility at Kennedy Space Center to the public for America’s newest and most exciting aerospace technology exposition and air show, which we are calling MAX POWER,” said NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman. “For 250 years, America has progressed by building what didn’t exist, by flying higher, moving faster, and achieving the nearly impossible. What better place to celebrate that spirit than at NASA Kennedy, America’s gateway to the stars and where many of our nation’s greatest achievements began.”
MAX POWER is designed to inspire the next generation of explorers, engineers, builders, and innovators by connecting NASA’s historic achievements with the companies and technologies shaping the future. NASA’s collaborators include Air Dot Show, Delaware North, Space Florida, Purpose Entertainment, and UP.Summit.
Several MAX POWER activities will take place at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, including events at the Apollo-Saturn V facility and launch and landing facilities currently leased by Space Florida. Additional experiences will be held before and during the festival at the adjacent Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
Featured MAX POWER activities include:
- An air show featuring NASA aircraft, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, and aviation demonstrations from multiple Department of the Army units
- A guest speaker series with NASA experts, Apollo astronauts, and Artemis astronauts
- Special exhibits and technology demonstrations highlighting historic and current NASA hardware, aircraft, civil aviation, next-generation air mobility, and more
- Behind-the-gate bus tours of NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, including the Gantry, Apollo-Saturn V Center, and Vehicle Assembly Building
MAX POWER will provide the public with an up-close look at America’s aerospace future, including advanced aircraft, autonomous systems, commercial spaceflight, NASA’s plans to return astronauts to the Moon, lunar base development, and technologies designed to strengthen the nation’s aerospace industrial base. The event will highlight aviation, space exploration, and innovation efforts that benefit humanity.
