I knew I had officially become a “longevity influencer” when Generation Lab invited me to write about—and personally undergo—a new experimental rejuvenation treatment.
Generation Lab describes the therapy as more than a conventional anti-aging treatment. According to the company’s fact sheet, it is designed to “block the systemic spread of aging in the bloodstream,” activate the body’s natural repair processes, and restore health and youthful function across multiple tissues.
The treatment is based on research by Generation Lab’s scientific founder, Irina Conboy. Her work found that connecting the circulatory systems of young and old mice could improve the older animals’ ability to recover from injury.
Conboy now says she has identified a combination of two existing drugs that may produce similar rejuvenating effects without requiring blood or fluid exchange. However, Generation Lab has not disclosed which drugs are involved, making the company’s claims difficult to independently evaluate.
