NVIDIA DSX Ready Certifies AI Factory Power and Cooling Solutions
Every AI factory requires power and cooling systems that match its computing architecture. As AI infrastructure expands, constraints involving power, cooling, water, sites and the grid are shaping what builders can deploy. Selecting products that fit into a complete factory design can help turn computing power into useful AI output.
To help builders make these decisions, NVIDIA is introducing NVIDIA DSX Ready, a certification program for partner products and solutions that meet applicable NVIDIA DSX AI Factory Reference Design requirements.
The program launches with two initial categories: Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Cooling Distribution Units (CDUs). Category-specific requirements and program reviews help builders evaluate products with greater confidence, reduce integration risk and move more efficiently toward adoption.
Certified building blocks for AI factories
The NVIDIA DSX AI Factory Platform unifies the design and operation of AI factories across compute, networking, power, cooling, facilities and software. This enables partners to design and operate their factories as one system while producing more useful AI output within the constraints of available power, cooling, water and grid capacity.
This system-level view is increasingly important because optimizing one part of an AI factory can shift bottlenecks elsewhere. Power and cooling suppliers need a clear path from reference designs to certified products, while builders need an easier way to discover and evaluate those products.
NVIDIA DSX Ready connects its selection process to applicable NVIDIA DSX requirements. Builders gain clear qualifications to consider, and partners have a defined way to demonstrate that a product meets the requirements for its category.
Power and cooling solutions certified through NVIDIA DSX Ready
At launch, NVIDIA DSX Ready includes certified BESS solutions from Hitachi Energy, LG Energy Solution and Tesla. Certified CDU solutions come from LG Electronics, LiquidStack and Vertiv.
These initial categories bring power systems and liquid-cooling infrastructure into a common certification program, with requirements tailored to each technology. Additional categories spanning infrastructure and software will be introduced over time.
For BESS providers, partners perform the required certification tests and submit supporting data for NVIDIA review and approval within defined certification boundaries. Passing certification does not replace site-level engineering or guarantee site-level stability.
For CDU providers, the CDU self-certification suite is used to determine whether a particular product meets applicable NVIDIA functional requirements.
Builders can then focus on how certified products fit their site, configuration and operational needs. For example, a certified CDU may meet relevant cooling requirements, but the builder must still evaluate how it will fit into the proposed facility.
Connecting AI factory design with partner product selection
The value of a reference design increases when builders can connect it to a specific product and make informed engineering decisions. NVIDIA DSX Ready makes that connection and brings partner innovation to the infrastructure choices behind the NVIDIA DSX AI Factory.
