Best Prime Day Laptop Deals: 3 Discounted Laptops Worth Buying

Prime Day has brought notable discounts on several laptops, including the HP OmniBook 5, Lenovo LOQ 15, and ASUS Zenbook A14. These deals cover affordable everyday laptops, gaming machines, and lightweight productivity notebooks.

HP OmniBook 5: 14-Inch Model for $780

HP.com usually has the lowest price on the HP OmniBook 5, with the 14-inch model currently available for $780.

Amazon has an even better Prime Day deal on the 16-inch model, which is currently $750. It is not only cheaper than the discounted HP.com model, but also includes 512 GB of storage—double the storage offered by the HP.com configuration.

The 14-inch model remains the better choice if screen sharpness matters to you. Its 1,920 x 1,200 resolution looks slightly sharper than the larger model.

Lenovo LOQ 15: An Affordable Gaming Laptop With a Better Display

The Lenovo LOQ 15 has long been one of my recommended affordable gaming laptops for two important reasons. Many budget gaming laptops have disappointing displays, including the Alienware 15, MSI Cyborg A16, and Lenovo LOQ 15 Essential Edition. These models compete in the same general price range as the LOQ 15.

The LOQ 15 stands out because its display has a good color range. Greens and reds do not appear excessively saturated, giving the screen an advantage over many competing budget gaming laptops. Its price is also typically lower than comparable alternatives, and Prime Day brings the lowest price we’ve seen in months for an RTX 5050 configuration.

If you can increase your budget, Walmart also has a Lenovo Legion 5i with an RTX 5060 for $1,499. I recommend this model for shoppers who want significantly better gaming performance.

ASUS Zenbook A14: A Lightweight Laptop With an OLED Display

The ASUS Zenbook A14 is known for its exceptionally light design. It weighs just 2.16 pounds, about half a pound less than the MacBook Air. The difference is noticeable when you carry it in a bag. The laptop also includes an OLED display, a responsive touchpad, and plenty of ports.

However, the 2026 Zenbook A14 is too expensive and is not discounted for Prime Day. For that reason, the previous model is the better value.

The previous model comes with a Snapdragon X Plus processor, 16 GB of RAM, and 512 GB of storage. The 2026 model offers more storage options, but it also has a significantly higher starting price.

Cheaper Zenbook models with Snapdragon X are also available. However, the Snapdragon X Plus provides better multi-core CPU and GPU performance.
