Enough Phone is betting that consumers still want a genuinely compact smartphone. The company plans to begin accepting pre-orders today for a 5.3-inch device that combines mid-range hardware, a removable battery and a choice of conventional Android 17 or a stripped-down operating system called OdysseyOS. Its limited-time price is $399, compared with a stated MSRP of $599.
A compact phone with mid-range hardware
The Enough Phone is designed as a practical, “good enough” alternative rather than a flagship replacement. It uses a mid-range MediaTek Dimencity 7500 processor, 8GB of memory, 128GB of storage with microSD expansion, a single rear camera and a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button. The body is made from polycarbonate.

Smaller than most modern smartphones
With its 5.3-inch display, the Enough Phone is smaller than almost all current smartphones. Its overall footprint is approximately the same as the iPhone 13 Mini, although the 12mm-thick device is less slim. That added thickness is partly the result of its user-replaceable battery.
Like a Fairphone, the device can be opened by removing a few screws and taking off the back cover. This design could make battery replacement more accessible, although the company has not finalized all of the phone’s durability specifications.
Two software options
Buyers can choose between a Google-certified standard build of Android 17 and OdysseyOS. The Android option is likely to be the choice for most users, while OdysseyOS is a streamlined, un-Googled version of Android intended to work more like a dumb phone. It does not include a browser.
Final specifications and carrier support remain uncertain
Some details have not yet been finalized. The designers are still determining the phone’s water-resistance and durability ratings, and the battery capacity may change. The company says it wants the final specifications to improve rather than decline, even if individual details change slightly.
The Enough Phone will be unlocked and support 5G, with the company targeting “broad global support.” Carrier compatibility is not yet known, however. Customers using restrictive networks such as Verizon may not be able to use the phone.
