Nations are cultivating domestic computing capacity through varied models. Some collaborate with state-owned telecommunications and power companies to establish and manage AI clouds, while others partner with local cloud providers to offer shared AI computing platforms for both public and private sectors.

Framework of a National AI Strategy
A comprehensive National AI Strategy encompasses five vital elements:

- AI ecosystem: A thriving local ecosystem comprising AI investors, developers, researchers, entrepreneurs, business clients, and government entities is crucial.
- AI Factory: As discussed, an AI Factory is a locally owned and operated AI cloud for training and inference. Maximum utility will derive from public-private partnerships, enabling scalability to meet the burgeoning demands of countries and industries.
Advancements in National AI Strategies
Across the globe, nations are making significant investments in AI capabilities tailored to their specific needs. Such investments promise to enhance economic growth while delivering tangible social and environmental benefits to their citizens.

In Asia, the Sarvam platform in India, powered by NVIDIA GPUs and built specifically on domestic infrastructure, provides multilingual AI models and voice agents optimized for the country’s 22 official languages, enhancing government and business services for hundreds of millions of citizens in their native languages while ensuring data, computation, and governance remain under national jurisdiction.
In Latin America, Widelabs AI Solutions, built on NVIDIA’s accelerated infrastructure, is assisting Brazil’s Public Ministry of Rio Grande do Sul in modernizing and expanding access to legal services, simplifying internal investigations and making judicial records more accessible to over 8 million residents across nearly 500 municipalities, aligning cutting-edge computing with efficient, transparent, and inclusive public governance.
