Revolut outage disrupts app, payments and money transfers worldwide
Fintech company Revolut is working to resolve a major service outage that has disrupted many of its services worldwide.
Since the incident began Tuesday morning, thousands of users have reported problems with the Revolut app and mobile banking services on Downdetector, including difficulties transferring funds between accounts.
Revolut said that its services have been affected by an outage but assured customers that their money and personal data remain safe.
“We are currently experiencing a service interruption affecting multiple services. We can be sure that all our customers’ money and data are safe,” Revolut said.
“We have been working to resolve this issue since it was identified this morning. We apologize for the inconvenience and any inconvenience this may have caused.”
According to Revolut’s official status page, the outage affected 28 services. These include account sign-in, card payments, money transfers, currency exchange, stock trading and live support chat. Some services were still reported as unavailable.

A Revolut spokesperson was not immediately available when contacted by BleepingComputer about the root cause of the outage.
Revolut outage follows recent data breach disclosure
Last month, Revolut also disclosed a data breach in which personally identifiable information (PII) belonging to a large number of customers was shared with attackers impersonating government agencies.
Four years ago, Revolut revealed another data breach after threat actors stole the personal, contact and financial information of more than 50,000 customers in September 2022.
Revolut provides banking, money management and investment services to more than 80 million customers in over 160 countries and territories, including 800,000 business customers.
This is a developing story.
The overall prevention score can hide what happens after the initial access. If an attacker uses valid credentials, your defenses drop sharply.
