For some reason, September 29 is a popular day for holidays. It’s Goose Day, Poisoned Blackberry Day, and—if your family calendar is especially busy—a day to celebrate your grandchild’s birthday. But we’re celebrating National Coffee Day. Don’t confuse it with International Coffee Day, which takes place on October 1.
National Coffee Day was created by the National Coffee Association. In past years, the holiday was known for free or discounted coffee from chains such as Dunkin’ and Panera. This year, many major coffee brands appear to be focusing on new product releases instead of free drinks and discounts, including Krispy Kreme coffee-flavored doughnuts and Starbucks’ new AeroCano.
