Apple HomeView: Siri AI Features, Compatibility, Price and Release Date

Siri AI powers the core Apple HomeView experience introduced with iOS 27. Siri can answer a wide range of questions, including questions involving Gemini and ChatGPT, and provide personalized answers based on your information.

The personal context Siri catalogs on your iPhone is also accessible through HomeView. For example, you can ask Siri to open a recipe your friend Alex sent by text or add a dentist appointment to your family’s calendar.

How Apple HomeView personalization works

Apple HomeView supports up to six iCloud profiles. Each user can create a custom view that appears when the device’s camera detects their face.

HomeView uses computer vision to display a personalized view when a specific person approaches. This feature only works when that person’s iPhone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network and has been recently unlocked.

Apple HomeView compatibility requirements

To get the most out of HomeView, you need an iPhone 15 Pro or newer with Apple Intelligence support. HomeView cannot be set up on an iPad.

Apple HomeView price and availability

HomeView is available for pre-order for $299. It will be available in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, India, Singapore and South Africa on November 13.

Apple Home Collection expands HomeKit smart home hardware

One of the biggest challenges for Apple’s smart home platform has been its relatively limited HomeKit device ecosystem, especially compared with the many smart home products supported by Amazon and Google platforms.

The Matter standard allows compatible devices—including smart light bulbs, smart switches and smart shades—to work with connected home platforms, helping expand support for HomeKit. Apple is also building out its ecosystem through the Apple Home Collection.
