Security Risk Advisor (SRA), the creators of the free VECTR platform, today announced the launch of SCALR AI, a free AI-powered security operations platform available through the Microsoft Azure Marketplace.
SCALR AI is an AI agent workbench designed to automate time-consuming cybersecurity tasks. The platform includes fully functional incident triage and enrichment capabilities, along with built-in AI-driven quality review. Security teams can access SCALR AI at no license cost, deploy it inside their own Azure private tenant, and use its tools to create workflows for threat hunting, vulnerability management, phishing analysis, and other security operations processes.
Instead of manually building every workflow, security teams can configure multi-agent workflows that bring together specialized agents, security tools, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. This low-code and no-code approach helps organizations develop repeatable, automated security processes more efficiently.
SCALR AI is deployed within each customer’s own Azure tenant, ensuring that security data and AI workflows remain in the customer’s environment rather than in a shared software-as-a-service platform. The platform also provides built-in cost visibility, enabling security teams to monitor and manage the cost of individual workflows, agents, and AI models instead of absorbing uncontrolled token usage.
SCALR AI supports the large language models that security teams already use, helping organizations avoid dependence on a single AI provider or model. The platform can select the most appropriate model for each task, which may help reduce computational costs compared with AI security platforms that combine subscription fees with high consumption charges.
There are no license fees for SCALR AI. Customers pay only for the Azure compute resources used by their workflows and are billed directly by Microsoft at standard Azure rates.
“We built SCALR AI to help our 24/7 XDR clients advance their security operations in the AI era. CISOs and security teams are evaluating more than 70 commercial SOC AI platforms, and many are unsure which solution is right for them. There is no reason the platform with the largest marketing budget should automatically win. So, here is a free alternative,” said Tim Wainwright, CEO of Security Risk Advisors. “Security teams do not need to rent another platform. They need the ability to build low-code and no-code capabilities, retain ownership of their workflows, and keep their data private. Making SCALR AI free removes confusion and helps organizations avoid lengthy procurement cycles.”
“Many people think of SOC AI as a chatbot that requires continuous prompting. That view is inaccurate and is slowing progress for security teams,” said Mike Pinch, CTO of Security Risk Advisors. “SCALR AI operates as a digital worker that responds to an incident, event, or schedule rather than waiting for someone to type a prompt. Each dedicated agent workflow is designed to perform a specific task consistently and reliably—something a general chatbot or personal assistant cannot always provide. The workflow also remains available even if the person who created it leaves the organization.”
SCALR AI Availability
SCALR AI is available with a $0 license fee through the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. Customers are responsible for the Azure compute costs associated with running their workflows. To request access or learn more about the free AI security operations platform, complete the form at sra.io/scalr-ai.
