Tim Heidecker Takes Aim at Logan’s Viral Podcast Persona

How Tim Heidecker’s Logan Parody Went Viral
Heidecker first went viral online in 2021 when he lampooned Logan’s discursive, disjointed interview. The 12-hour podcast was actually an hour-long recording looped 12 times. Its wide-ranging topics included psychedelics, cancel culture and whether Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson should run for president.
Comedy duo and Onion contributors Rajat Suresh and Jeremy Levick, who appeared as guests on that show, return for new episodes with their “expert” views on hot-button topics. The pair has essentially perfected the art of fake celebrity web content and once involved Justin Theroux in a joke resembling a Hollywood Reporter-style actor roundtable.
Fake Celebrity Commentary and Right-Wing Media Satire
“Essentially what’s happening is that instead of Christianity, we have the Ten Commandments of the Woke,” Levick said during a discussion of DEI policies on the first episode of the TV show Tim Heidecker Podcast.
The conversation veers toward concerns about bearded men visiting Disneyland dressed as princesses. Heidecker then abruptly tells the boys that he is planning a weekend trip to Glasgow “for some Scotch wrestling.”
Heidecker’s Take on the Absurdity of Right-Wing Media
In 2026, it is harder than ever to exaggerate the absurdities of the right-wing media ecosystem, including its fact-free moral panics and bizarre alternative medicine. But if anyone is up to the task, it is the infinitely inventive Heidecker. There will be no shortage of crooks and lunatics in his wake after his stint as a Logan type. Fortunately for him, few of those potential impressions are as vocal as Alex Jones.
