Although we haven’t conducted any measurement testing, we believe the Lucid Gravity Touring, when compared to the ultra-fast Grand Touring and the 1,000+ horsepower Air, offers impressive speed and power on demand. Lucid claims a striking 0-60 mph acceleration time of just 4.0 seconds for the Gravity Touring model. However, a closer look shows that the performance disparities between the top-powered Grand Tourer and the Touring might not be as significant as their respective specifications suggest.
What truly impressed me was the overall refinement. The steering is both precise and intuitively weighted, offering a seamless transition from parking lot maneuvers to highway cruising. The optional three-chamber air suspension strikes an excellent balance between ride comfort and body roll control. It effectively isolates passengers from uneven road surfaces without compromising the vehicle’s substantial weight of around 5,200 lbs (2,360 kg).

The Lucid Gravity Touring is equipped with high-performance brake hardware, featuring six-piston Brembo front calipers that clamp down on massive 15-inch rotors. While the Gravity might not handle like a Ferrari on winding roads, it navigates tight corners, steep hills, hard braking, and gravel with surprising agility. Notably, in everyday driving conditions, the Gravity exhibits effective slowing even when regenerative braking is disengaged, giving the impression of regen acting upon it.
Aesthetically, the Gravity Touring bears a close resemblance to its pricier counterpart, the Grand Touring, which is fortunate as its design is one of its standout features. The proportions are harmonious, and the surfaces showcase an aerodynamic design rather than a radical one. The illuminated front fascia, full-width lighting elements, and expansive glass roof contribute to a contemporary aesthetic that feels distinctly upscale.
Our test model was adorned in the optional Supernova Bronze metallic paint. Combined with the standard Stealth Appearance Package, sleek flat-sided wheels, and broad-shouldered front-end graphics and headlights, the Gravity Touring boasts a striking exterior, although it doesn’t appear particularly lightweight. While visually appealing, the design clearly reflects its 5,200-pound weight.
