Florida students will have the opportunity to ask pre-recorded STEM questions of NASA astronauts Jessica Watkins and Luke Delaney aboard the International Space Station during a live Earth-to-Space event on Tuesday, November 10. The program aims to connect students with space exploration and highlight potential careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Earth-to-Space call
The call will begin at 10:40 a.m. EST and will be streamed live on NASA’s Learn With NASA YouTube channel.
Freedom Crossing Academy in St. John’s, Florida, is hosting the event. It is open to students from kindergarten through 12th grade as well as members of the community.
Media outlets interested in covering the event should contact Christina Upchurch at (904) 547-7517 or [email protected] by 5 p.m. ET on Monday, November 9.
Research aboard the space station
People have lived and worked continuously on the International Space Station for more than 26 years, advancing scientific knowledge and conducting research that would not be possible on Earth.
The space station is helping NASA understand and overcome the challenges of human spaceflight, expand commercial opportunities in low Earth orbit, and establish the foundation for long-term missions to the Moon and Mars through the Artemis program.
