Best Amazon Prime Day Pet Deals: WIRED-Tested Cameras, Feeders, Fountains, and Automatic Litter Boxes
Amazon Prime Day now takes place several times a year, including Prime Big Deal Days, which runs through October 6 and 7. It’s a good opportunity for pet parents to save on expensive automatic litter boxes, pet cameras, feeders, and fountains before prices potentially rise again ahead of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
As a pet tech critic on the WIRED Reviews team, I’ve tested many pet gadgets, including products that exceeded expectations and others that didn’t. I searched Amazon for the best discounts on pet tech tested by WIRED and worth buying during Amazon Prime Big Deal Days. We’ll update this guide throughout the two-day sale, so check back for new discounts on gear for your furry friends.

Best Amazon Prime Day Pet Camera Deals
I’ve tested close to 20 pet cameras and find them especially useful when I’m away from home. They can help you check on your pet, monitor activity, and discover who left an unexpected mess on the carpet. These WIRED-recommended models are currently discounted.
Petcube Cam
This basic but sturdy pet camera is currently at its lowest price of the year.
Deal price: $25 at Amazon
Furbo 360 Dog Camera
This pet camera can pan 360 degrees and toss treats while you’re away. The current price beats the lowest price we’ve seen by 30 percent. Many features require a paid subscription service.
Deal price: $85 at Amazon
Best Amazon Prime Day Automatic Feeder Deals
Automatic pet feeders are useful for pets that wake up early for breakfast or need meals on a consistent schedule. They can also help you feed your pet when you’re away from home. These models add camera monitoring and app controls to the basic feeding function.
Petkit YumShare Dual-Hopper 2 Automatic Feeder With Camera
This is my favorite automatic feeder. It has an AI-enabled camera, can be controlled remotely through an app, and stores two types of food, including freeze-dried food. Some features require a membership plan, and the app isn’t as user-friendly as some competitors.
Deal price: $130 at Amazon
Petlibro Granary Smart Camera Feeder
This was my go-to automatic feeder for years. It has a built-in camera and an intuitive, user-friendly connected app. One limitation is that it doesn’t measure how much food remains in the bowl to prevent overeating.
Deal price: $110 at Amazon
Best Amazon Prime Day Pet Fountain Deals
An automatic pet fountain can encourage hydration, which is especially important for cats prone to urinary tract and bladder infections. These deals are a good opportunity to try a fountain or upgrade an older model.
Petkit EverSweet Solo SE
This basic model is a good place to start if you’re not sure whether a fountain is right for your pet. It’s currently at the lowest price we’ve seen this year.
Deal price: $23 at Amazon
Petlibro Dockstream Fountain
Petlibro released a second-generation version of this model earlier this year, but this cordless fountain is still worth considering. It has a wireless pump and a connected app. The plastic construction is a drawback, but the current price is 12 percent lower than any price we’ve seen before.
Deal price: $56 at Amazon
Best Amazon Prime Day Automatic Litter Box Deals
Although automatic litter boxes can be expensive, Prime Big Deal Days is one of the best times to shop for one. These models have been tested by WIRED and offer features such as odor control, app connectivity, usage tracking, and built-in cameras.
Petkit PuraMax 2
Although Petkit has released newer models, this remains the automatic litter box I recommend to most people. It performed reliably during extended testing and is currently at its lowest price of the year. Features include an odor-eliminating attachment, a deodorizing spray, and an opening that rotates vertically for easier litter filling.
The box does not have sensors to tell you when litter is low, and its app can feel overcrowded and buggy.
Deal price: $285 at Amazon
Petkit Purobot Max Pro 2
This is the best overall automatic litter box in the tested lineup and is currently 20 percent off. Its AI-enabled camera records videos of your cat and the waste being scooped, while the connected app tracks usage and weight changes. It works with both 2.4-GHz and 5-GHz Wi-Fi.
The camera isn’t movable, and the app confused some cats once the free Care+ subscription ended.
Deal price: $443 at Amazon
