Fubo has reintroduced the NBCUniversal channel, leading to a monthly price increase of $15.
As a prominent sports-focused vMVPD (virtual multichannel video programming distributor), Fubo allowed users to stream traditional TV channels live over the Internet. The NBCUniversal channel was part of its offerings for several years, until it was temporarily suspended in November 2025 due to contractual disagreements.
To counteract the loss of local NBC affiliate Telemundo and multiple regional sports channels, Fubo made the strategic decision to reduce subscription prices in December. The Essential plan is now priced at $74 per month, down from $85. The Pro plan has dropped from $85 to $75, while the Elite plan is slightly reduced from $95 to $84 per month.
However, following a new agreement with NBCUniversal, all monthly subscription prices will increase by $15. This adjustment means that current prices are higher than before the NBCUniversal blackout. Unfortunately, Fubo was unable to regain all channels lost during the outage.
Fubo is restoring access to popular channels such as NBC affiliates, Telemundo, regional sports networks, Bravo, Cozi, NBC News NOW, Universo, True CRMZ, and NBCSN. Nevertheless, Fubo subscribers will still miss out on nine cable networks that NBCUniversal transitioned to Versant in January, which includes channels like CNBC, SYFY, USA Network, E!, and MS NOW (formerly MSNBC).
Fubo expressed in an email to subscribers and on their support page: “Unfortunately, the rising cost of providing the programming you enjoy means we have to pass some of those increases on to you.” Users have also reported receiving notifications regarding the price changes recently, as Fubo prepares to roll out updates to their channel offerings.
