NASA’s latest aerospace exposition and air show, MAX POWER, will take place at and near NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida from Friday, Nov. 6, through Sunday, Nov. 8. The event will feature aircraft, autonomous vehicles, space technology, lunar rovers and spacecraft, along with appearances by astronauts, engineers, scientists and other experts. NASA will also showcase its quiet supersonic X-59 aircraft and provide updates on the agency’s Lunar Base program.
MAX POWER will culminate NASA’s recent Inspiration Tour, which included numerous overflights highlighting the agency’s aircraft fleet. The current event schedule is available on NASA’s website.
Public events and news updates
Family-friendly public events will be held on Nov. 7 and Nov. 8, with gates opening at 9 a.m. ET on both days. Attendees will have opportunities to meet NASA leaders, astronauts, engineers, scientists and other subject matter experts.
NASA also plans to release several news updates during the weekend, including a press conference at 5 p.m. on Nov. 7 about the moon base. The Lunar Base, located near the moon’s south pole, is described as humanity’s first outpost for long-term lunar exploration.
The press conference will be streamed online across various platforms. NASA will provide information about where to watch on its website.
Media information
Media authorization for the event has ended. Approved media must request interviews in advance. Space at the press conference is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Media members may also participate virtually in press conferences.
