As artificial intelligence (AI) transitions from model development to production inference, the demand for computing power is rapidly increasing. This shift is paving the way for continuously running AI factories that generate tokens at scale. To meet these demands, access to multi-tenant accelerated computing that can be deployed quickly, maintain high utilization, and support the economic models of token-scale AI services is essential.
Historically, emerging AI companies often faced challenges in accessing capital-intensive infrastructure, and long-term commitments alone haven’t been enough to facilitate financing for robust computing capabilities.
To tackle these challenges, NVIDIA is unveiling an innovative business model that provides computing access to a thriving ecosystem of AI startups, model builders, enterprises, research organizations, and regional AI players.
This new model empowers AI Cloud to acquire NVIDIA infrastructure for AI-native enterprises and software vendors through economic alignment involving revenue sharing and credit support models. As part of this collaboration, AI Cloud will offer cloud services powered by NVIDIA. NVIDIA will benefit from standard product revenue and a share of the revenue generated from cloud services, thus accelerating the adoption of the NVIDIA platform in fast-growing, AI-driven sectors and establishing a recurring usage-based revenue stream.
For model builders, inference providers, agent platforms, and companies expanding their AI capabilities, this means immediate access to comprehensive accelerated computing without the delays associated with site selection, power procurement, construction, or hardware setup.
NVIDIA AI Factory Capacity Built on Demand
This initiative is already in progress, with the AI cloud company constructing the DSX AI Factory designed to support customers and workloads across the region.
Sharon AI and Firmus are among the pioneers collaborating with NVIDIA on this groundbreaking business model.
Sharon AI is set to deploy up to 40,000 NVIDIA Grace Blackwell GB300 GPUs.
“This strategic partnership with NVIDIA represents a crucial milestone in Sharon AI’s mission to provide sovereign, large-scale AI computing infrastructure,” expressed James Manning, Co-founder and CEO of Sharon AI.
Firmus is developing a DSX AI factory campus in Batam, Indonesia, with planned growth to 360 megawatts and up to 170,000 NVIDIA GPUs.
“AI-native companies require scalable, energy-efficient, and cost-effective computing infrastructure to compete on a global scale,” noted co-CEO Tim Rosenfield. “Firmus AI Cloud is constructing an AI Factory in collaboration with NVIDIA DSX, enabling our cloud platform to provide extensive computational resources for our customers to effectively build and scale AI applications.”
AI-native companies such as Baseten, Fireworks AI, and Together AI are leading the way in understanding future computing demands. Developers, digital natives, and enterprises focused on AI require immediate access to AI cloud services for training, post-training, fine-tuning, and conducting high-volume agent inference.
Our customers need dependable access to extensive NVIDIA-accelerated computing resources as their usage escalates, alongside commercial flexibility as their products progress from pilot phases to full production.
