Members of the Peterborough Astronomical Society will gather at Ferry Meadows Country Park to watch the partial solar eclipse.
The Luton Astronomical Society is hosting a partial eclipse viewing event at Stopsley Common in Bedfordshire. Meanwhile, the Bedford Astronomical Society will welcome visitors to the Piazzi Smyth Observatory at Bedford School.
West Stow Country Park in Suffolk will host a pre-booked partial solar eclipse event from 17:45. Dash Astronomical Society has also relocated its planned event from the fire-damaged Dunwich Heath to nearby Darsham Village Hall.
In Essex, visitors can watch the partial eclipse from Southend-on-Sea Pier. The Munnings Museum in Dedham is also hosting a viewing event, while the Loughton Astronomical Society will hold another at Theydon Bois village green.
The North Norfolk Astronomy Society will provide special solar telescopes at Binham Village Hall, near Fakenham, for its eclipse watch party. Ingham Village Hall has also organised a public viewing event.
The Lumo housing development in Eddington, external, Cambridge, will also host a partial eclipse viewing event. However, Bothwell and Clough say there are fewer organised astronomy events than expected because many astronomers will travel to Spain or Iceland, where the Sun will be completely covered during the total solar eclipse.
In Hertfordshire, the Hertford Astronomy Group will be based at Bramfield Village Hall. In Buckinghamshire, visitors are invited to bring their own eclipse glasses or a pinhole projector to Town Hall Green in Beaconsfield.
