In its mission to make space exploration more accessible, NASA+ is expanding its offerings to additional streaming platforms. Recently, NASA announced that its content will now be available on the Fire TV channel. Fire TV users can conveniently access this exciting material by using Alexa+ on compatible devices.
Upcoming programming on Fire TV may feature significant events such as scientific mission launches, test flights for collaborative docking with the Human Landing System, robotic lunar deliveries, and the much-anticipated first manned mission to the Moon under the Artemis program. Additionally, NASA+ remains free and ad-free through the NASA app and other NASA applications.
“The National Aeronautics and Space Act of 1958 mandates that we share the story of our space exploration journey with a broad audience, and our streaming partnerships play a crucial role in achieving this goal,” stated Rebecca Salmons, general manager of NASA+ at NASA Headquarters in Washington. “Artemis II has captured global attention and inspired the next generation of explorers. We remain dedicated to offering transparent and engaging content as we progress towards humanity’s first moon base.”
During an Ignition event earlier this year, NASA unveiled ambitious plans for the future, including an increase in the frequency of Artemis missions to the Moon and the establishment of the first lunar base among other key priorities. This distribution partnership is a significant step toward fulfilling NASA’s promise to enhance public engagement, allowing viewers to enjoy mission-related and educational content across various devices and channels.
